I have trouble sleeping.

Is there any way to get a good night’s sleep without taking sleeping pills?

i suppose i do need a better bed. mine is a lame sofa bed. i have tried drinking tea before bed, and soup (heard it works) but my mum won’t let me try sleeping pills. I’m 16 btw.

Sleeping pills make you sleep but when you wake up you don’t feel like you’ve slept so its best not to really because they don’t work like you’d hope.

You could try:

-Listening to headphones (relaxing music)
-get some meditation podcasts from itunes. There free and theres sleepy ones.
-hot bath before bed and try some muscle relaxing or lavender bubble bath.
-make sure your in perfect darkness.
-get a new matress/bed. Something comfy.
-Try those eye patch sleepy things.
-get one of those plug in air fresheners in “lavender”

Tea isn’t very good-its got caffeine in it!!!! Unless you drink decaff?

Try milky drinks or hot chocolate (check theres no caffeine in it first)

Ive got SKYtv and if you put “baby chanel” on its got “dreamy journey” which is relaxing music and waterfalls and the beach etc.

Hope this helps :)

Whenever I cannot sleep, I just pick up a good book and try to read. Usually within a few minutes, I am a gonner.LOL.
It especially helps if I have read the same book over and over and pretend to be intent on getting it read again.
It is very rarely that I get past a page or two.
I wish you the best of luck!

Oh! Hahaha LOL! Sorry, then, I guess my suggestion is a bust. But I know what you mean there. I have had that happen as well. But usually, reading works because it just wears out my eyes quickly.
Hmm.I’ll try harder to think of something to help.
