News Media Addiction :: 5-year-old boy says “I’m John McCain, and I approved this statement.”

His mom, Ms. Collins Lehman, 36, thought: “Oh my God, I’m watching too much news.”

Raymond L. Roker, 40, who runs a music magazine called Urb and lives in Los Angeles, sets his DVR to record more than 10 daily political shows, which can take four to five hours to sit through every night.

Mary Beth Caschetta, 42, an advertising copywriter who lives in Provincetown, Mass., has been taking her Kindle to bed so she can track the headlines.

Maybe, maybe not. If it has harmful effects and affects, it should be avoided. Maybe it’s become so rampant there is no way to stop it.

Everyone has an off switch, but what if they don’t want to use it?

I tend to avoid mainstream media when possible. It’s the same as advertising imo.

I have never known anything to take so long in my life!
That is my opinion, no wonderthere are people who are getting obsessed about it when in that country it is all anyone will talk about, read or listen too.

I think it is wrong to have it go on for so long, I mean someone is either good for the job or not so pick one already!
I don’t even live in America and I have heard enough to bore my half to death already.

I’m with Mas1st. Everyone has an off switch.

I have 340 news feeds in my RSS reader. It takes about an hour to go through all the new items, if I’m slow, or 15 minutes if I skim really fast. I’m not John McCain, but I approved this message.

Some people want more information than other people. Those of us with our lives under control can handle things which other people get compulsive about. That’s not an indictment on the media. It’s an indictment on people being out of control. It only takes a minute to lock it back down. But, yeah, OHZ NOEZ, I MITE MIZZES TEH JON STOOART SHOE! FAIL.
