What can I do about a co-worker complaining and being sarcastic to everyone, more so to me?

This person will and can complain enough to get us both fired. I really like my job, but not when this person is always causing trouble at work. What are the steps to put a stop to it.

Know this is your co-workers mode of operating. Try to ignore them in order to maintain your own sanity, and not get fired. A superviser should handle this matter, just don’t be any part of it. Eventually they will be the one fired, and good riddens :) Good luck…

Do you have a HR department? They will be able to help advise you. Its hard to stay positive with Negativty around you. Negativity breeds Negativity after all. You need to xarry on doing a good job and make sure your boss knows you are still happy and try not to complain back, simle yes no answers should soon bore you collegue as you get on with your work

I don’t know if this would apply in your situation, but I witnessed this a few years ago, and it worked.

Employees were sitting having lunch when the sarcastic one started again. The victim suddenly turned to the and said, in a loud voice

“Holy crap! Were you born like that, or did you have to work at being that sarcastic?”

Silence…then the room erupted in laughter…but the message got across.

Write a letter to the boss and “don’t sign it”.
