SCHOOL DECISION PLEASE HELP!

Hey, so i am a junior right now and i completely HATE my school i have very very few friends there is Absolutely no girls the people is bad must of the teachers are mean i am really having a very bad time there . I currently for Freshman and Sophomore year have a 3.3 GPA but this year so far i have a 4.1 i am really making an effort to raise it and have a pretty good GPA , i already have must of the credits i need for college and i am studying for my SAT test to have very very good scores ( in the PSAT i already did pretty good getting 1120/1600), ALL my classes are Honors.

I want to know if switching my school in my senior year might affect me in my Application for college? considering the fact i am going to have a high 3 or a 4 of GPA and very good SAT scores .

Also i would be switching from a private to a public high school. but even the high i would be switching is an “A” school.

Also i have played all varsity sports like twice soccer baseball and football

Bottom line i am asking if this is going to affect me to get to college? and i know the school i want to switch too and i would be so happy my motivation to be there would make me get better grades.

Good grades always give you options. I don’t think it’s going to affect if you move from one school to another with your good grades. Any school would be happy to have you!

It’ll be difficult no matter what. You get away from a poor school but you loose your comfort zone along with your peers. The next year is likely to be difficult so prepare for that and find an outlet that gives you relief from the stress. You’re chances of getting into college will not change. Just make sure that the school you trasfer to has similar academic requirements. That way you don’t get stuck having to take more classes that may lead you to spending another year in high school. Take the time to sit down with and advisor of the school you want to transfer to and discuss your options.

So long as switching schools doesn’t change your GPA, the status of your classes (honors), the prestige of your school (a well-respected school), or your extra-curriculars (sports, volunteer-work). It won’t make a difference if you switch or if you stay.

Due to a family move my son had to change schools for his senior year. His college applications weren’t affected other than trying to get recommendations from both the old and new schools. Good luck.
