Why would you ashamed? Does somebody want to make you feel bad because you have dyslexia?

Well being Dyslexia is not all that wonderful being one, because you go through a lot. Well i hope you know what the meaning of “Dyslexia” means?
i have scotopic sensitivity.
it does screwy things with print…
it hasn’t been easy all the time… but it is interesting.

Dude u r so right
I use to fail tests in school left and right. Because I could not put the numbers in their proper order!
having scotopic sensitivity makes me focus on white space around print, so pages get designs on them for me, and if a paragraph has a word repeated in it, i will see those words before i can read it. it can really throw you off.
i remember when i once had to read Reflections on the Revolution in France, and the word France appears in there … at least 5,000 times.
i don’t think i remember anything about that book other than it was about FRANCE!
strange… yet interesting.
it makes for a wonderful photographic memory and artistic ability. :)

I know how you feel, Being Dyslexia you tend to fail a lot on tests and a lot of things like being a slow reader or other things relate to it. But we just have to push ourself harder then the rest because Learning for us takes us more longer to get it.
I learned how to control it. I once told a teacher if he could give me an extra 15 minutes to take a test and he ended up giving the whole class an extra 15 minutes to finish the trig test because I asked. After that day some people in the class would ask me if I could ask for the extra time to do test.

Yeah, having more time on the test is better for us because it give us more time to think better while taking the test.
Good for you :D its good to meet someone who is comfortable and accepting of themselves.
I don’t think anyone should feel ashamed for who they are, I say should because I know that sometimes it is hard to be strong and accept the way things are.
I like your post, very strong.
My brother has really bad dyslexia too although he has come a LONG way he can now read and write where as when he was younger he could not do either at all, he may make the odd mistake but I think we all do.
My brother works in the media now, he helps makes short films and has also been an extra in alot of films and also programes, my point is, no matter what you think will defeat you it can’t, only you can defeat yourself so if you stay strong and believe in who you are you can do anything :)
