And tracking down people I think they mean if they find a pedophile or something

I agree with Sam, The police have more important things to worry about, then a minor on a chat line. Stay out of these. Meet people your own age. Much better to have interaction with your peers,then in these rooms. Sometimes their are not so savory people there, and could try to take advantage of your age and inexperience. Your not missing anything from staying out of these chat rooms anyways. Good Luck and let this scare be a lesson learned:)

To actually find out where you live they’d have to contact your ISP. Your ISP probably will not give them your information unless they are the federal government, or someone with similar serious business.
