That’s fairly normal after a birth (post-partum blues). You could see your doctor about it and if its bad enough he may get you on medication. Nothing wrong with you. Just a normal thing.

Dav is correct post-partum depression is common in woman after they give birth. If you feel like you may hurt your self, the baby or someone else, get help right away.

It is, and it could have been a lot worse. Some woman are completely bed stricken for a time after birth. You’ll recover in short order and will have plenty of time to hold your baby and walk to the store.

it can be totally overwhelming. motherhood for the first time is a big thing, dont underestimate it!
and its ok that youre having trouble walking and picking her up. that happens very very often after birth. it will pass! how old is she?

so you think its more of an emotional thing or a physical thing?

That’s because there is nothing extra ordinary “wrong” with you. You just need to recover from child birth.

actually, if she feels there is something wrong, then there most likely is. post natal depression is not something to just brush off.

really you do need to see your doctor and stress that you are not coping and how you are feeling. dont let them brush you off.

You are plenty young. That could complicate your feelings. (sorry for saying so much. I know I haven’t experienced first hand! LOL)

Keep your head up and keep trying. If you feel like depression is getting you down tell your doc you are struggling with depression. Be specific with him.

Of course that’s why I said she should see a doctor. But the doctor is not going to categorize that as something “wrong” he is going to say its recovery from child birth because that is what it is. Doctors are fical like that.
