I agree angel… the flavored water is not so bad. Nothing like Gatorade… but better than water alone.

i dont know if it will taste the same but maybe watering it down, or start gradually by drinking less and less of it.

There are recipes to make your own ‘gatorade’. The good thing about home made is that it tastes like crap unless you really need it… as in need the salts etc. If you need it, somehow it starts to taste OK.

Gatorade is better for you than Crystal Light, Koolaid, or Vitamin Water. Gatorade’s got electrolytes and minerals in it. Crystal Light is flavoring and sugar. Vitamin Water is a marketing term for water with flavoring in it. All of that stuff is garbage. Don’t put that in your body if you’re a serious athlete. Gatorade is the official drink of most of the major sports leagues, as well as the Olympic games, for a reason. It’s not bad for your health.

You want a substitute for Gatorade? Water. Period.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Gatorade. If you’re trying to gain weight, you need extra calories. If you’re hitting the weights and you’re 6′2″ and 155 AND trying to gain weight, you need a lot more protein.

Have your parents buy you whey protein powder. After I work out, I drink one of those shakes, which is 200 calories, 8 grams of carbs, no fat, and 40 grams of protein. Great recovery drink.
