everytime i try to download a picture, it says its too big.

all i did was take the pic on my digital camara then i put the memory stick in the slot in the computer and it downloads fine, but whenever i try to post them on a website (petsmart howloween photo contest) it says that the photo is to big. how do i fix it?

Go File -> Open and upload your image.
Then go Optimize -> JPEG Quality and choose a quality setting.
You will see the size in bytes in the lower right corner of the picture. The site you are trying to upload to probably has a size limit in kilobytes (1000 bytes).
Adjust the optimization according to the limit and save the image. It will be saved on their server only until midnight PST, so you should download it back to your hard drive again after you’re done.

make sure it is saved as jpg or jpeg… if it is saved as bmp, it will be way too large.. also.. if it is too big, just edit it…

I think the problem lies in “just edit it… “

Oh yeah might be a limit on height and width, didn’t think of that. If that is the case, do edit -> crop or resize instead.

if u have a photobucet down load the pic

re size it

and save it to ur computer

then u can upload it

i just had that problem
