Well, I made the background myself, and the font I just downloaded it. But I made it chrome myself. I couldnt figure out a color for the font, so I just decided to go chrome.
That is what I would call scratch. Fantastic. :D

I use Cs3 and illustrator. May I suggest you invest in a tablet? Fun will be had and your skills will increase ten fold.
I never heard of Cs3 lol, i’ll have to check that out.

If that is true, get IrfanView. It can change pretty much any image format to any other is has in its extensive repetoire

I don’t make gifs so I wouldn’t know haha. I’ve heard that is the case but I r’z not sure.

You used your character in one layers, had a background layer made from gradients and various effects, combined the two, an added the computer monitor is lines to it all? Or am I off?

I used my character in one layer, added the video distort, changed the contrast, then added a transparent layer, brushed the lines in the back and stuff. Merged it down, added the little sparkle things. Then I added the text, and it took a lot to make it chrome. Then I added another layer and stuff, and cut around the border. Its hard to explain…but yea lol.

(but note that freewebs is not *your* website: you are creating content there (and they earn from the advertising placed next to your content — that is the basic “monetization” model that is used almost all over the web).
At some point, it should make sense to you to have your own domain so that you are in full control of ALL of the content you post there.
Many “hosting providers” offer packages that are quite affordable and have packaged applications included. If you want, I can advise you (but if you’re not into that at this point in time, that’s cool too — it’s just something to think about ;)
