spyware?

my laptop is spazzing. the desktop background changed to some ‘you have spyware’ sort of thing. little warning bubbles pop-up everywhere.

i didn’t download anything.

i don’t have any anti-spyware anything.

HELP.

Similar thing happened to me not to long ago. I had to delete all partitions and reinstall everything.

Hello,
As far as the spyware goes you will need to get Avast and possibly not the free version, the free version will scan your BIOS first for viruses (need to restart), once rebooted, you will need to scan the whole computer, and then, you will need to do the following:

Start -> run -> msconfig -> boot.ini and click check boot paths, and any that are invalid repair or remove them.

Im not sure which free software works on Spyware, but you need something to fix this. Or go out buy some software, or take it to Bestbuy.

You do not have to download anything to get a computer virus, just visting website can leave them you computer with you knowing it. That why it a good idea to have spyware software to protect you form this.
