Finding jeans that fit…

I’m 20, weigh 120 lbs., am 5 ft 5″ and I enjoy long walks on the beach. Wait- wrong post. Anyway, I’m having a really hard time finding jeans that fit. Juniors jeans don’t seem to be designed for humans (or at least humans with normal proportioned thighs and who do not wish to be continually pulling up their pants to prevent looking like Joe the Plumber) and girls jeans are both a bit too short and depressing. If any of you have this problem or know someone who does, any ideas on where to shop (or good brands to try)?

Ooh, Old Navy. I’ve purchased swimsuits there before that fit. Just maybe… Thanks Jennjenn.

possibility one: tailor. Second, there is usually some tailorshop, that makes your jeans fit propperly for about 30 dollars. (as long as they only need to remove fabric.) option perhaps?

Thanks Lucif. I would do that, but I’m a college student on a budget and the tailors around that I’ve heard of charge a bit more…

Can I be a little bit mean and say quit whining? I’m five-foot-two and a half and never have had a pair of jeans that aren’t too long, but I deal.

I’d rather find a girl, fitting into the nice pair of jeans I am thinking of…

I’ll keep that in mind Laina. I was asking for advice on where to shop, not just whining. Jeans vary widely in lenghth and shape. Some places and brands are much better suited to certain body types.

cute beginning of your post… lol

the only issue that i have with jeans are the little strap along the top in which the button is on… (belt loop part)… the rest of the jeans fit perfect.. but for this one part… its like squishing a soft tomatoe inside of a small pill bottle… just cant be done… so it forces me to buy a pair of jeans that is bigger and looks like i have a load hanging… lmfao…

but where as to find a pair of perfect fitting jeans.. i dont think they make them… unless you are a size 0… which is really sad for us normal sized people…

Shie, it appears as if we’ve been doomed to the same fate of ill fitting jeans. Perhaps I should take up most-wanted-websites idea and start making my own clothing. Of course, then I would have the problem of ill fitting clothing falling apart when I wear it…

Try LOTS of clothes, go to places like Ross, TJMAxx, Marshalls—all liquidators of clothing lines.

My favorite pants are ones that use to make me look like a sausage but now fit PERFECTLY. :P Jeans change and stretch somewhat.

I’m very womanly shaped, I find that pants with a bit of stretch to them fit better than ones which don’t. I’ve graduated to womens sizes…(juniors = 13 vs. womens = 6-8) Also sometimes men’s pants relaxed fit are better tailored for butt and thighs. Real women are built to last. :D
