i have horrible money habbits.

i used to get about 20 bucks allowance every 3 months (lame lame lame!)

but now i get 100 every month but i have to spend almost all my weekends at my dads office for like 5 hours. regardless on weekdays when i go to the mall and stuff, i spend ALL MY MONEY!

idk sometimes i dont go to clearence because i feel that thats below my standards and i look cheap. idk what my problem is. but like say i go to the movies and the mall i should spend about 20 bucks but i leave having spent 50 bucks. and this isnt good because i never know when i need money. and i spend all my money in like the first week i get it. any advice?

Open your own bank account and get your rents to put your allowance in there. It will, be easier for you to not spend it as it is inside the wall!
Also it may be helpful for you to get a job to add to your allowance, because it helps you put into perspective the value of money so when your parents say no more allowance you’ll be able to limit yourself easier.

food for thought. Try the want vs. need approach. If you want it worse than you need it…go without! You have an inner strength that you have simply detatched yourself from. It is not an easy task…it will take great will on your part. Try putting little notes on your mirror, or beside your bed, and several times a day, remind yourself how strong you are!.. By saving that money, you will be teaching yourself a valuable lesson in appreciation. Instead of being upset about going to your dads office, ask him for a task to keep yourself occupied while there. In return, you’ll feel accomplished, and then you will also feel a sense of pride in EARNING what you have.
