life help: I would like to share some books with anyone that is interested - Help.com

I would like to share some books with anyone that is

interested that have changed my life - when I decided I wanted more for myself, these really made a difference. Most are also available as condenced ausio books on itunes.

Secrets of Self-made Millionaires - Brian Tracey
The Magic of Thinking Big - David J Schwartz
Unlimited Power - Anthony Robbins
Giant Steps - Anthony Robbins
The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success - Deepak Chopra
How to Make People Like You in 90 Seconds or Less - Nicholas Boothman
The Seven Habbits of Highly Effective People - Stephen R Covey
Gaols - How to Get Everything You Want Faster than You Ever Thought Possible - Brian Tracey

Im sure also that other books by the above listed authors (of which there will be many) would be inspiring aswell. I have had the fortune of actually attending a few Tony Robbins events and have found them invaluable in motivating myself, even from the very lowest of places. If you get the chance (they are not cheap) I could not recommend anything more if you want to realise what your life could be - no matter where your starting from. I hope this is of value to people.

thanks Josh… Tony Robbins is a great speaker and motivator. He’s an icon in the self-help movement. Deepak Chopra is one of my all time favorites. What I like about Chopra is that as a physicist he is able to take very spiritual concepts and bring them down to earth for the common man to grasp. My mentor Debbie Ford studied and worked at the Chopra institute for a time. I highly recommend ANY of her books too… Debbie Ford’s latest book; Why good people do bad things, is excellent. And if it’s money you’re looking for… wealth… Robert Kyiosaki; Rich Dad, Poor Dad series is pretty good.
Bright blessings

Yeah I have read ‘why good people do bad things’ - loved it - I just think its amazing how little power people think they have over their own lives. I read this stuff over and over and learn something new every time.

I have read heaps of Deepak Chopra, particularly in relation to the physical health stuff. I love his study and expansion on the work of Socrates - “No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training………what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever eeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

Well… I’m probably not the best one to say it… but I’ll shout out an AMEN Brotha for that. But it goes along the other lines too… mental and emotional. How much the mankind is capable of in mind, body and spirit.

I love the idea that the thinking that guides you intelligence is much more important than how much intlligence you have - I think Chopra is a perfect example. If I can apply half his wisdom and knowledge to my life the opportunities are endless.

Well, your right Ice.man - Jesus (and other Masters, like Buddha, Krishna, and Mohammad) brought a great amount of enlightenment into our world. I think that if we are open to many of the self help ‘gurus’ we’ll find that they are not “nonspiritual”, rather quite the opposite. They do not always get up and give the sermon on the mount - proclaiming the greatness of Jesus Christ, because not all people believe in Jesus… or Buddha, or Krishna or Mohammad… To reach the masses today one has to be more open.

Thats why I just gave you the mantra and not write that its taken from the Bible. ’cause most of us have without trying , already written off the teachings of Jesus. We haven’t seen good enought examples around and havent bothered to investigate. Its far easier to find faults with Institutionalised religion and peoples short comings and say its not for me, than to try out oneself.
