Year help: I’ve been lookin at colleges all over the U.S and I stumbled - Help.com

I’ve been lookin at colleges all over the U.S and I stumbled across the Berea College in KY…

It says every student gets a scholarship that covers tuition + room and board for four years…. That sounds too good to be true to me so I’m wondering…. is this even possible? Does anybody know anything about this?

I don’t know the answer to your question but it doesn’t seem likely at all. However, I do know that college is really an excellent school! I would certainly call their financial aid office to inquire. Maybe they have a scholarship for which you would qualify. It’s certainly worth a try.

I went to the college’s website and it says this:

4-Year Tuition Scholarship

If admitted to Berea, you will receive a 4-year tuition scholarship. This scholarship is combined with financial aid you may receive as well as any other scholarship you may be awarded by outside parties or organizations to cover 100% of tuition costs for four years of enrollment.

We are able to provide this level of financial assistance due to the generous support of alumni, friends, organizations, and others who believe, as we do, that a student’s income should not dictate their outcome.

So when you enroll at Berea, your scholarship will be provided by people you don’t even know who believe in your potential—and who know that Berea is well-positioned to help you realize that potential.

Notice that it says “combined with financial aid” So, this is not fully paying for college but looks like it would be helpful.

Here’s the website:
http://www.berea.edu/prospectivestude…

If you look on the left side, there are links to more info about financial aid.

Good luck!
