exercise suggestions!

welll it’s getting cold again. ): i lost my chance to ride my bike (silly me) over the summer, so now i’m stuck.
what should i do during the winter?
i can’t go to the gym because i have no money.
i can’t buy exercise equipment either.
the cold is nice and all, but i don’t particularly like walking in the bitter cold…
i’ll do it if i have to.
so what do you guys suggest?

Jogging is a great exercise, even if you are wearing warm clothes. If you want to exercise inside then try a few of these ideas:

-Pushups and Situps
-Use various household items as weights
-Walking up and down the stairs (carefully)

These are just little exercises that help over a period of time. The duration you spend doing these exercises depends on how serious you are about your fitness.

do you have any ankle or wrist weights? if not, use socks and wrap them round your wrists and ankles…and dance. great aerobic exercise and the weights add a challenge for your muscles…keeping them toned.

Turn on the music … LOUD and DANCE … great aerobic exercise. Do your house chores whilst dancing around. Wash the walls, do squats while washing the walls and cupboards.

hmmmmm . . . . here’s an idea … start a house cleaning business … windows, walls and cupboards … you can make money and exercise! Just make sure you are squatting, stretching and do repetitions to keep your heart rate up.

If you do not have weights try using canned food if that is too light try full milk jugs or water bottles. Look up different bar bell exercises and do them with the canned goods. Also try sparkpeople or sparkspeople.com not sure which one. They let you set up a free weight loss/diet and exercise program they also have cute videos to help you learn how to exercise.

yea and it’s not to late to bike I biked today and i’m practilly in canada. Winter has loads of sports outside. AKA snow sports shnw shoeing fun, And go to any garage sale and you’ll probablly find cross country skis.
This is what you call stick season. The 2 months where its cold but there’s no snow. I would excercise abs and stuff if youre too cold to bike ( but its not) befor winter. And also watch what you eat and abs and arms and stuff… (as an alternitave to running and biking).
Walking although it burns some calories doesn’t burn fat off muscle and also it fails to put nessiary streigth on your joints like running does
