i need some help…

Last Monday I became very sick with the flu, (nausea, throwing up,) and i have had it all week. i haven’t been able to eat ever since then - my stomach is constantly queezy and i can’t eat anything without feeling sick afterwards. I have not been to school since monday and I am finding it really difficult to go back. I’m tired and cranky and I can’t prevent myself from feeling this way. I can’t sleep very well because I am always worrying. What is going on with me? what can i do to?

I know you were probably expecting this, but maybe you should see a doctor.
Or if you can’t get out and see one, have one come to your house?
Otherwise, keep resting and don’t go back to school until you feel well enough. Try to relax before you go to sleep as much as you can..
Good luck!
and feel better :]

Yes see a doc. Oh, I only wish they made house calls.

You could be dehydrated since you’ve been sick for so long.

Hope you feel better soon!

Have you tried an over the counter anti nauseant like gravol? It will take away the nausea and usually make you drowsy so that you can sleep. Might be worth a try just to get some rest then I would suggest visiting the doc to be on the safe side. Drink lots of water.

You say you are worrying, assuming it’s cause you don’t feel well but, just wanted to ask if there is anything else apart from the flu that is bothering you? Are you not looking forward to going back to school cause you feel a bit week after having flu, or just not looking forward to going back?

BRAT diet.

Banana
Rice
Applesauce
Toast

These are the easiest to digest. Banana gives potassium … replaces what is lost.

Eat little bits, don’t force it AT ALL. Drink FLAT sprite or 7-up (let the carbonation go out … open the contrainer to air) Forego the water, drink something with sugar for energy. But, surely, drink something … clear liquid … really sprite and 7up good options. (gatoraid also)

Now, is there something happening at school that is causing you significant stress? Something that could decrease your resistences and cause you to be more vulnerable to the flu? Could having the flu be a good reason to avoid what is happening at school?
