Hello,

I am trying to get my home made Vann De Graff Generator, I have all wires connected properly, and the power is going into it, but it is not creating static electricity, could it be the elastic band? ummm sorry really busy ill look back at this later as a first guess is the glass rod touching the can? because if it is that might short it.
