Maths help :(

Sorry this is a difficult question to ask because i can’t draw a diagram for you. Please help if you can, thanks :)

Two ships leave port P at the same time. One sails 40km on course 040 degrees to A. The other sails 50km on course 097degrees to B. Calculate to the nearest metre:

use pythagoras - a squared plus b squared = c squared

thats no worries, but if you’re still using pythagoras you’ll get it wrong, methinks :)
