Has anyone ever gone to a foreign country to teach English?

I’ve been looking at some programs focused on Korea but was hoping to get some real-life feedback from people. I’d like to go for the experience but really do not know much about the culture there. Does anyone have any personal information they’d be willing to share about this?
Thanks!

I haven’t had this experience personally but have known a few people who have and they loved it. Sorry but that’s all I can tell ya.

My in laws went to Ecuador when they where young and took up teaching when they where their. They never came back to the states and instead started and raised their family in Ecuador. They live there to this day and still teach. They obviously liked it alot.

Wow. I feel so isolated to the united states. But I have this fear of living somewhere else. So many questions arise? What if i get sick? What if I don’t like the food? What if the people don’t like me? What if something happens at home?
I guess to do it, you just have to GO!
And it seems nobody I’ve spoken to yet has had awful things happen!
