Rain.
The tingling sensation wakes me, in both body and soul. The cool touch invigorates me. As I dance and spin, I look up into the sky and see a myriad of stars looking down on me, their light being more reasuring than any voice. Out of breath and soaking wet, I lay down on the cold, hard pavement. I rest my hand on my chest, feeling the up and down movement of oxygen finding it’s way into my lungs. Finally relaxed, a smile finds it’s way onto my lips, and with it, laughter fills me. The rain is my awakening.
Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted a poem… haven’t had time. Hope you enjoy! =D
Also… what do you think of the rain?

Oh that’s a poem? I thought you were describing your dream about us….
LOL
Nope… all these are poems. Only that one time was a vision. But I do often daydream about the rain.

I love the rain. I’d love to walking in the rain with you.
to GO walking….
Awesome poem Hannah. What I think of the rain…
The rain is the gentle cleansing of the earth. As the tears of the sky fall, the tension of the world is released. The air relaxes, the trees no longer strain and peace returns. This is when I can sleep.

To be honest, I am usually very careful to not respond with any type of poetry. Once I did that on a different forum and got severely attacked by the original poster XD

Good stuff. Allot of imagery in that one. I felt like i was there
Really great poem, I loved the part about the stars and then feeling that connection to the rain at the end. Thanks for sharing!

I agree
Thank you everyone, this poem really came from my heart. I love looking at the stars, and feeling the rain. The combination of the two is so relaxing and reasuring.
