Feel help: I feel tired all the time and I work at home and I can’t - Help.com

I feel tired all the time and I work at home and I

can’t seem to keep on track when I know no one will notice or care if I miss my personal deadlines.

What can I do to stay energized and do the work I need to do?

Organizing your home office might be an important step.

That would take work. I can’t seem to get myself going here. I have piles of junk everywhere.

At least I cleaned up the pile of cat barf that had been sitting on the carpet for over a week. It is really bad. I just feel so tired and like I just can’t do the stuff.

There might be clinical reasons as well.

Well yes, I am sure. But I was hoping for a non-clinical answer that could be typed here and would fix everything for me.

Do you have a daily planner. Writing goals gives them a concreteness that can help you accomplish them.

Yes. Does nothing. I know no body cares what I do.

You could try not concerning yourself with whether or not others care.

I guess, but then why not sit around in my pjs or stay in bed all day? I feel like my work has little point/value.

But somewhere someone has to care right? I mean it isn’t work because you want to do it…so what about the consequences of not doing it, does that not matter?

No, not really. Not in the short term, anyway. Won’t make a difference in the next year.

Hmmm…well in that case can you try and change your surroundings…maybe go to the library to work, or find a friend to help keep you on track?

I knew a friend once that worked at home…she would give herself small deadlines with immediate rewards.

For example, if she needed to file 50 pieces of paper, she would say…if I get 10 filed before wheel-of-fortune comes on I can sit down and watch it. That would be her daily filing reward. Then to get data entry done, she would set it small but with a reward that made her do it within a specified and realistic time. It was hard sometimes to be accountable and not take the reward if she didn’t do it, but as long as she kept the goals very easy they at least kept her from getting too far behind.

Does any of that help at all??

Hey there, I work from home too.

It can be hard and frustrating because it starts to feel like things are no longer separated and it can be overwhelming. Work and home life end up all jumbled together.

For organization, try FlyLady.com — it seems a little hokey at first, but that really helped me stay on top of my house and organizing my space. Sign up for the e-mail reminders for sure, that really does make a difference.

For motivation try www.stevepavlina.com — this one can seem a little dorky too, but it has some interesting points about efficiency and motivation.

Hope that helps!

If you really need to get something done and your just too tired, try the over the counter 5hr. energy bottles. They are B vitamins, and you just feel you can devote a few more hrs. to getting things done. Non-habit forming, and you feel no ill side effects. This works in a pinch. things A good 8hrs. of sleep will do wonders the natural way :)

Yeah, it’s just hard to stick with not rewarding yourself if you don’t do it. I just don’t seem to have the will power for this.

Get a good friend to tell you to do some work, and you may be tired all the time based off of what you eat. Some foods actually drain your body of energy.

hey
you could be tired because it’s been awhile since you felt cared for or since you took care of yourself. do something that you really like doing, and take a breather to really enjoy something, be with people who would energise you.

when you feel better, you can then write down what needs to get done, and get a friend to help you decide what to prioritise, etc. start with two small things and one important thing at a time.

Hi,

For you to get all the energy to do the things you have to do,I suggest that you offer those things to God. For when you do that, you will always give your best, you won’t get bored. If you still feel others don’t care about you and in the things you do… don’t get frustrated because God cares for you!
