I am making my boyfriend dinner for the first time (and I’ve never really cooked anything other than cupcakes and cookies etc.
etc.)
This came up in one of my recent posts, but I’d like alot of different ideas on what would be a good first dinner to make for someone you completely adore!
It can be hard to make or easy to make, either way, I’m going to have fun making it :) Please help me! :)

Order Olive Garden to go and make it look like you actually made it!
mmmmm that sounds delicious!
Yea.. i know what good looking guys want……….make a pasta. like linguini. Boil water, then when boiling add fetticini. let boil 10 minutes. take out of water. add butter . a stick? its never too much. and paraseam cheese, and garlic powder (garlic salt is different). then in a skillet put cut up onions with butter, like for 10 minutes get them soft. then add a bunch of cleaned shrimp. they cook super fast. put the pasta on the plate. and the onion shrimp on top…. and buy some soft bread have butter available. vanilla ice cream with… chocolate sause and p’nuts etc for dessert.. some libations too.
Well, how about good looking, extremely sexy, and charming guys like for lunch?
hmmm!
well first you should ask what your boyfriend likes.
i would suggest spaghetti or lasagna or another italian food, but he might like mexican or just burgers on the grill better.
however, there are always ways to spice up your food and make it just a little better.
try some spices, different seasonings…experimenting is always helpful.
now, here’s my suggestion if you’re having vegetables:
chop up some zucchini and yellow squash into little circles, as well as a tomato and onions.
then heat your stove and put a little olive oil, a little butter, and a tiny bit of garlic into a pan. not a lot, and make sure it’s not garlic powder. get a jar of chopped garlic for this if you can, otherwise leave it out.
then you pour your vegetables into the pan and let them simmer, not so hot so they burn or anything.
then you’re going to chop up bacon into smaller pieces rather than long strips, and let them sizzle in there with them too.
make sure your bacon DOES NOT get crusty/crunchy and hard.
make sure it stays kind of soft/light colored.
you can add other vegetables that you want in there but this is really good.
i also suggest cooking them with salt and pepper. :D good luck!
don’t forget the aphrodisiacs….strawberries dipped in chocolate for a dessert

you can add as much meat to a good lunch as you want but with love making you only have what they got to offer?

Haha you’re a woman now! Get in the darn kitchen!
I can bring home the bacon and fry it up in a pan haha we are both carpenters and he acually cooks better than me
ok, here it is… Start with a grocery list:
Polska Kielbasa
Thick Spagetti
Fresh Mushrooms
Chunky Ragu (garden variety)
2 Jars of Fresh Parmes. cheese
Garlic Powder
italian seasoning
Olive Oil
Fresh loaf of italian bread
Butter
Slice the sausage into attractive elongated slices..and drop into a non stick deep skillet. add 1/4 cup of sugar. Add the sauce and about 4 or 5 sliced mushrooms. simmer on low heat (covered)
In a large pot, water, 1 tblsp of Olive oil, (keeps the spagetti from sticking to each other) and enough italian seasoning to cover the surface of the water. Once boiling, add spagetti..
Slice the bread longways in half and open it up. in a bowl, mix half a jar of the parm. cheese,i stick of unsalted butter (melted) and garlic powder until it tastes garlicy, but not unkissable…lol spread the mix onto the bread, put it back together, slice it and wrap it in foil and bake it on 300 for like 10 min. then unwrap the foil and continue baking until golden brown, not burnt.
set the table with candles, and once the spagetti is done, strain it and sit down for dinner…This is a huge success….
Strain the spagetti as normal, set the tabl
my gram used to toss the cooked spagetti with a few drops of vinegar…for the total sweet and sour experience, but…after she died… her recipe mysteriously disapeard…so, unless your great at adding a bit here and there, i would skip that part…
Good Luck….

LOL, I’m not saying it’s something to base a lifetime partnership on but if you can make a guy a lasagna better than his mommy made him, you’ve a shot at winning him. And even if you don’t, well all the more lasagna for you!

Crap. My boyfriend’s mom makes bomb lasagna but it’s also one of my specialties. When I ask him whose is better it’s always like “well her sauce is really good but I love the turkey you add to yours”. So he reallllly never makes it clear. But if he never proposes, I’ll know why now ;)

Another smart move LOL
After trying to comfort people in breakups, this is such a nice post to be on.
I want to start dating again…
( I am so shallow, but I have learnt to cook pretty good indian so I won’t just fall for the next lady that cooks lasagna)
Ooo Indian food. I don’t think I’ve ever had that specifically.
Why don’t you start dating again? You seem really nice :) And you can cook! :)
Girls like that sort of thing. At least I do. My b/f is the cook, which is why I want to try to make him something great for once!

(It’s tangent to the post, but basically I’ve yet to stop spinning after a tough breakup)
Indian is great. It’s a HUGE variety, its healthy and its tasty.
No :( Hopefully I’ll get to this weekend. We’ve been super busy with Halloween things! And I work till 5..so I would rather try it this weekend, so I can do it alil earlier in case I mess up. I’ll have more time to try again :)
Haha that’s good. And remember, practice makes perfect.
