Is there any way to whiten teeth?

I am very self concious about my teeth because of their colour and would like to know if there is a cheap way. Toothpaste with whitening in it doesn’t help and Crest Whitestrips and all that are to expensive for me.
I’m really desperate. Please help!

Um, brush your teeth twice a day, gargle with Listerine mouth wash (that keeps your teeth healthy), and maybe you could get that Listerine whitening teeth thing that you apparently swish around in your mouth right before brushing your teeth or something. I don’t know if it works but I trust Listerine..

yeah whitening tooth past doesn’t work for you because it only removes stains that come from that day. I use crest white strips. I know they are a little expensive, but in my opinion it’s wayy worth it. The results are great & it lasts a long time. It’s worth the money.

I don’t use listerine. I’ve been through some bad things with them and dont trust them anymore.
White strips are supposed to be really good I’ve heard. I’d love to try them but my parents don’t want to pay that much and I don’t have the money. Theyre 50 bucks for a weeks worth!

The only real way to get the results that you would like, is to let the dentist do it, kind of expensive, but worth it.

strips really don’t work that well from what I have tried.
go in to see how much it would cost to have it done professionally at your dentist.
there really is no way to do it cheaply and effectively yet, and the hydrogen peroxide idea sounds dangerous…
I suggest brushing 3 times a day and using mouthwash in the mornings. try the strips if you want, but I think you’d be wasting your time

Thanks! Yeah I’m not so sure about the strips. I’ve mostly heard good things about them but I guess they don’t work for everyone. I do brush 3 times a day already and it doesn’t seem to do anything.
Btw I have to say you are very hot :P

That’s what i want to do. Really badly. But I just don’t have the money.
Questions about it though… How long do they last? As in how long do your teeth stay white for?

the results last about a year, after the year they start fading a little, but after they are whitened, just use whitening tooth paste to keep the everyday stains from coming back, and the results should last longer

Wow really? That’s awesome then! I’ll try to talk my parents into it. I’m getting to the point where I don’t smile with my teeth because I think people are looking at them.

lol, wow that’s the first time anybody’s said I’m hot to me… thank you!
try what you need to to get rid of the stains, then you might wanna consider giving up on soda/coffee. I only drink water these days, and it works great for me. not to mention lots of water in a diet and running gives you awesome abs. :p

I did not know that about running. Thanks Regulus9! Can running in place to the same? The sun is not my friend, and I can’t see spending money on a gym to run.

lol, I get pretty bad sunburns no matter where I go, so I might have the same problem. just go in sleeves and sweatpants, it is getting cold out. riding a bike is good too, just cover up and use sport sunscreen.
and as far as the abs go, I really suggest not going for it unless you really want it.
I’m still working on it myself, and water and exercise is not enough. you need to diet soooooo much to have an flat stomach.
but I digress, getting rid of stains is better for a professional, keepin em off is up to you.

I have the reverse problem I’m skinny with super fast metabolism , so I have to intake about 4000 to 6000 calories a day. I can’t have dairy or eggs, or most meats for some reason, so it ends up not fun. But for that I do eat healthy. ^^
