if he works days and you work nights, leave notes around the house for him to find while you’re at work. write lines to a poem in them or just say reasons why you feel about him like you do. whether guys want to admit it or not, romantic things do have an effect on us.

Is there anything that is making him wonder (ex, you holding onto your past)? It does not always have to be physical sure those times are nice but sometimes just being there to talk to, helping one another out, spending time together, cuddles, etc are all that is needed. I wish my girlfriend well “ex” was like that.
