I am a single mother of 3 children.

I work for 8 an hour and my hours were cut to 20 hours a week, from 40 hours and alot of overtime most weeks, at work. My roommate moved out suddenly and I need help paying my rent and getting utilities in my name.

Is your roommate on the lease? Legally you can’t just up and leave without notice and serving the terms of the lease. In most places they are legally required to pay the remainder or find a suitable replacement to sublet the apartment/house.

What sort of work do you do? Is it possible for you to find a second job or another job to make a full work week?
