Most public lands have rules about removing “souvenirs” as its everyone’s property not one persons. Some places strictly enforce these rules. For instance on a beach in Washington state you can get fined for removing a feather off the ground unless you are a registered Native American. Which is cool with me, we stole their land, they can have all the Eagle feathers they want.
