Which is the perfect way to hug a guy who is so much taller than you?

Ok, so Im good friends with this guy and he’s the sweet type of guy who likes hugs. Without fail we hug everytime we see each other but Im just wondering which way of hugging is better?Round the neck or hands lower down, say like half way up his back? You see, Im 5′ 2″ and he’s 6′ exactly,
So theres 10 inches difference!! Around the neck - I have to tip-toe which is awkward but when I hug him with my arms half-way up his back, he lays his head on my head and it makes me feel really small (I know 5′ 2″ not exactly tall lol but anyway..)
I know its down to personal preference but, generally, which is best?
Or if you could suggest other ways that’d be great :)

hug him around his waist… it doesn’t matter how you hug him until he doesn’t like it anymore..
