Are Work trying to make me leave?

Basically this month on my pay slip it says that i am not being paid at all!?
I have worked 16 out of 32 hours for the month but this is because i had an operation which meant i wasnt able to attend work, They are saying that because I didnt phone every day i was meant to be in which i was ill on i am not being paid this month and all of the pay for this month will be in next months pay slip!

Ive read through my contract and am seriously contemplating making a Formal complaint agaisnt the store. Should i do this or are they actually allowed to perform such things?

If you have a contract with that employer than I’m certain it states what the rules are regarding absenteeism. If it states you are to call in every day and you didn’t, you didn’t follow the rules stated in the contract. You can try arbitration but I’m sure that’s the leg the store will stand by and you will lose.

Well, if you’re able to do that my guess is you are able to go to work in the first place. Trying to use a medical excuse just doesn’t hold water….

It sounds like your store/company has to deal with lazy and unmotivated workers who would try to make up excuses for not showing up to work, which is why they have that policy in place. You did tell your employer that you were scheduled for surgery well in advance, didn’t you? Try calling the HR department to plead your case…offer to send them hospital records.

OK first off It wasnt me posting about burning the store as you can tell because the box isnt shaded!
And in my contract there is nothing about witholding my pay for the whole month.

Ive rang HR and tried talking to them but they dont want to listen, its ok though im looking for a new job!
