Live For Music

So I’m sort of curious, forgive me for my ignorance, but do musicians make a living off a band?

Say, do they make a living off a contract, or concert tickets? Or both?

It all depends on your outlook .As a Musician you can work on your own ,have an Agent or Agents looking for work for you.I know of a halve a Dozen what have a Van and do there Gig for Weddings and other Festivities .Then you have Musicians joining a Band, again you need someone who gets you the Work. Now you are going upper Class a single Musician who has his Agent gets you the Bookings for Clubs Casinos and big Venues and everybody needs his cut .Normally an Agent takes 25% .If you have signed with a Record Company its getting even More difficult .Look at me I’m on my own i get my own Gigs after Christmas i will have a Band and lets hope we sell a few CD s and we fill a few Venues .Barbyman.com
