there are many reasons, the one posted in my first post would be some of the reasons. and the closest to vampire in which i would be talking about, with many things in it which are wrong, but still very close, would be interview with the vampire, either the book or movie. both were the closest that ive seen to the definition of what your seeking.

the steak one, the human blood high, though if ones self blood counts then yes. and the iron pill one, and the alchohol, though i did drink a little but not enough to do anything i dont think…. and my nails arnt glass clear, and and my father didnt leave, like i said it may be a generational appaerance (or my mother is), and i usualy have a good sense in darkness, but in absolute pitch black*which is what i need it to be to sleep* i cannot see. its the best time to give my poor eyes a rest and relaxe and go AHhhhhhh darkness atlast. And the sun one i am sensitive to sunlight, and i dont burn to easily. Its the light itself that seems to drain me. like i could be extremely energetic and then i go outside and bam im exahsted, and if im out for to long like maybe 4 hours in a nice cool sunny day*hating the thought but iv done it…* i would be extremely tired and not just fairly exahsted from doing things, but completely physicaly drained. it happened to me once and i couldnt move much for awhile, and i had to stay in my room*realy dark and cool and peaceful* for the rest of the night in order to somewhat recover.

I could argue about this, on the side of vampires theoretically existing, for days, and I probably will at some point, but I can also go against the theoretical existence of vampires, but you don’t want to listen, you just want to argue.

Let’s evolve your thought:
Only a vampire can recognize another vampire.

Now, we both agree that an vampire would tell and teach the just-discovered vampire that he is a vampire. It would raise him, teach him the ways of his race.

But IF that just-discovered is not really a vampire, no vampire would tell him nothing. Vampires want to remain undercovered.

So it’s rather easy to find out if you are a vampire or not:
Has anyone came to you, and told you are a vampire, and taught you?

Then you get your answer.

Vampires maintain the masquerade for that very reason, to hide their kind from the world. If you are violating this, you will be reprimanded by your brethren or slain by a hunter.

Vampires are very smart creatures and as such would come tell us they are vampires so we would never believe them. As I always say, to hide the truth, tell it to their face.

WHAT information? You think you’re a vampire. You won’t consider the possibility of something else. Okay, then, wear SPF60, reapply frequently, invest in large-brimmed hats and eat lots of rare steaks, because if you drink human blood, you’ll pprobably get a disease or arrested.

We had a group of ‘Vampires’ at the High School I went to. They had blood-sharing rituals and everything! Apparently one or two of them had HIV. Cimmaron Memorial High School. We had the highest HIV rate of any US High School for two years running! After the blood-sharing and all, the whole group except one or two people were HIV positive.

that is the first thing ive seen that is very well thought out. And as for those who are complete nonbelievers, i will ask you to leave. continue to harrase someone who has clearly just asked for help and is not wanting to argue, and has stated it atleast once here, and i will report you. This is not a debate on weather vampires do or dont exist, this is someone kindly asking for help and advice.

Anony… if you actually believe you are a vampire, you probably shouldn’t post this publicly. After all your race consider my species to be livestock. Successfully convincing humans that you are in fact a vampire would be successfully convincing them that you want to murder and eat humans. In the human society this is considered criminal and carries severe penalties. That is… if they think you are human as well. If they DON’T think you are human as well, very likely you would either A)End up in a government research lab being vivisected, or B)End up being staked through the heart by a mob.

My advice, if you are a vampire… don’t try and convince people that you are a vampire… pretend to be human. IN FACT, I strongly advise that you behave exactly like a human in every way. I think that is what would help you the most. If you need help learning how humans behave, try to learn how they think. A psychiatrist or psychologist may be of use in this respect. Vampires are very smart creatures and as such would come tell us they are vampires so we would never believe them. As I always say, to hide the truth, tell it to their face.

now then i will tell you what is wrong with this. Vampires live in what you would call clans now, unless you go to europe or that whereabouts, where you run into more tradition following vampire. Actually, if you look to vampire lore, clans “embrace” new members. They choose when they pass on their bloodline, it is not in every bite.

The masquerade is a council of vampires basically, used to hide the species from the public so that they can continue in peace. If vampires dont follow the specific laws, they are punished.

And once more, of coarse this is a point in preference, cow blood may be next in line to human, but human blood will always be tastiest, but yes fresh from the vein is what i intend to do.
