iTunes deleting songs from my disk drive.

This morning when i woke up, i went into iTunes for whatever reason, and found that when i connected my iPod, it gave me an error saying “Songs could not be written to your iPod because they cannot be found.” There were about 20 songs that ‘could not be found’. I right clicked the titles in the library and selected “show in window’s explorer”, but nothing happened, confirming that they were apparently missing. When I went into my disk drive to check for myself, the songs were GONE. Completely missing! Why did this happen? And is there someway to recover the songs?

Sorry to hear that.
But you can try some iPod recovery software.
Have a look at this guide to see if it can help:

Hope you can get what you want back.
