Does anyone else ever feel like they are living a fake life? Like everything they do is only because they feel they “have to” or because they should?

How do we fix this.

not so much a fake life but yeh sometimes i do things because i have to or should and dont really want to. i always make time to do things that i enjoy though and it is with those things im happiest. sadly we cant go around doing as we please all the time though :(

Why not though. I mean Im not saying let the murderers murder freely, But If I want to just do what I want, As long as it doesn’t hurt people , why can’t I?

It’s more or less a realization that the term “my life” isn’t possible. I’m constantly restrained by something and can never live to full potential. Even those with “it all” follow rules and are told what to do by someone.

It doesn’t make sense.

Depersonalization sounds like me, but I’m not going to diagnose myself with something I know very little about.

i was referring more to things we actually have to do, work and such. id love to be able to just stay in bed all day sometimes but its just not possible! and sometimes we are bound by commitments to people and ‘rules’, its just how it goes. you should definately make time to do the things that give meaning to your life as much as you can though, if the restraints are those that you put on yourself or uneccessary/bendable. im all for living life to the full, give ownership to your life by doing those things you enjoy regardless… go! realise your dreams.

There is no such thing as a fake life. Unless the life you are living right now is all based upon lies you have created to make yourself fake.

Never take life seriously, no one gets out alive.
