my husband moved out because i became too work-obsessed…

and then i got wrongfully terminated from the job but have no recourse. and as i ease out of my depression from all of this, i’m being told i’m overqualified for jobs. any thoughts beyond meditation, networking and thinking positively?

If you are wrongfully terminated then why aren’t you complain to your employer? If you worked so hard, it is for their benefit to keep you. Something is not right.

If you’re told you’re overqualified for jobs you’re applying for, work on fine tuning your resume to meet the expectations of the companies you’re interviewing for.

You don’t have to put EVERYTHING on your resume, especially if you think you might be turned away from a job that you’re overqualified for.

I was always told to look for a job that is slightly above what I thought I was capable for, so you don’t become bored, and so you have something to work towards. Don’t give up it can sometimes take months to find a new job.
