what ever you do… DO NOT stop eating…

just cut your intake down a little bit… fill your plate like you normally do.. and then take off half.. dont eat any junk food or sodas… and drink lots of juice and water…

i agree.. its called ‘baby fat’..

plus.. every ones bmi is going to be different depending on bone structure… someone of the same size as you could have larger bones or smaller bones.. meaning that they could be higher or lower on that scale…

listen… as a teenager, i saw 900 lbs in the mirror… in reality, i was only 132lbs, a size 7.. i was huge or so i thought.. tried losing just a few pounds.. in which i became anorexic… losing so much weight that in one week, i went to a size 3, 112 lbs.. and STILL saw 900 lbs in that same mirror.. that is why im telling you to be very careful..

As said before, don’t feel pressure to lose too much weight. It is nice you’re conscience about your health, however. I would recommend starting a cardio workout. Don’t push yourself very hard, but maybe try jogging for 1/4 of a mile for starters. Work your way up; running is one of the most effective ways of losing fat.

I’m surprised that you are overweight if you are in track and field…maybe that is just your natural weight? Or like the above people said, baby phat which you’ll be glad of later!

Don’t empty off half the food on your plate!! Unless you are SERIOUSLY overeating, that is a terrible idea. ǝıɥs_ʇıq_lıl this girl is 13, what are you thinking?! You’ll ruin your metabolism!

Eat a lot, especially whole grain like breakfast cereal and stuff, which revs up your metabolism. Eat three to four meals, but avoid snacks unless its just fruit or something. Sleep as much as you can, and spend as much energy as you can daily. Running, push ups and sit ups, all good options.

And do not worry, when I was 13 years old I didn’t worry about what 13 year old girls looked like in their swimsuits.

its not a terrible idea.. if she is wanting to lose a few pounds by a certain date… as long as she is eating… why not cut down how much she is eating.. infact.. all we are suppose to really eat is a piece of meat the size of a deck of cards and other stuff that same size… if you dont believe me, call your local cornell cooperative extension.. they deal with healthy eating and this is what we are learning about there.. so no.. its not a huge bad idea.

And do not worry, when I was 13 years old I didn’t worry about what 13 year old girls looked like in their swimsuits.

obviously you are a guy… girls have a different thought process about what they look like..

but please keep in mind qtkittenchi…

you need to be losing weight for yourself.. not for anyone else.. if people can not accept you for who you are… then you dont need them in your life… so again… do this for you..

i know that im coming across as lecturing you… i just know what needing to lose ten lbs is like.. and then anorexia sets in… dont want that to happen ..
