My emails been hacked…

..

the password and secret question altered, this email has been my online identity for quite a few years now, ALL my contacts r lost, I can only recover a few but for most it was my only form of contact :( whats worse is it’s possible this may have been a maliciouse attack by my ex, and no im not just ranting, I have good reason to believe it but thats another story (like 10 yrs old but hes STILL going) which means all my social accounts are accessable through it and probably used as a tool for the most damaging result possible , ive seen it from this person b4, and they go ALL out when it comes to destroying a persons reputation, identity, and right when were about to go to court because we cant raise the kids as a unit, the conflict is far too high

go into all your other accounts NOW and change the password and secret question to something completely made up that he wont know.

Set up a new email either using gmail hotmail or yahoo. Change all your social accounts email to your NEW one.

Then you can start trying to get into your account thats been hacked.

Email the people who supply your account and let them know the situation as calmly as you can, let them know you’d be grateful if they can’t give you access-then to at LEAST delete the account so they can’t damage it anymore.

Then find all your old contacts around the different social sites. You may lose a few but you’ll get some back don’t worry.

First contact your email service provider and get their advice.

Next, take the matter to the police. If your account has been hacked, that’s a criminal offence and any attempt to damage your reputation by such means needs to be addressed.

If you are about to go to court over custody issues and you really believe your opponent is involved in this, all the more reason to ensure that the justice system is fully aware of what is going on.

sorry I took so long to reply, I couldnt get back on after I posted, the site just went weird and wouldnt let me in, even when id created a new account, but anyway
thanks heaps for your advice, very straight forward, I like that, but sometimes its hard to see the path when your stuck right in the middle so its good to hear from others, I have a new email, made the secret question REALLY hard, started changing my accounts, working on making a report, but its not easy finding the best person to report they tend to keep just refering me to other police, back to the net, back to detectives, back to the net, back to the police again, but i will find the right place to report eventually. I will update this post on how ive been going with this problem
