Go to a music store and try both. Get whichever feels better. Musicians today use electric in country music and accoustic in rock sometimes. But for the artists you named (by the way, great taste in music:)), electric may be better.
oh and i dont really casre which one is more expensive. my dad will buy me the one i want.
gibson les paul
i mean like my dad is not going to buy me a 1000 doller guitar for a 145 year olds 1st guitat. but he’ll buy me one in the high hundereds

ok. i think a gibson might be a little too expensive. cause i looked at guitar center online.
go to Toys R Us…They have some fair prices and you can learn on one of them, then if you decide you like guitaring and can play well, THEN definitely get a Gibson Les Paul
oo i just asked my dad again and he said no high huindred. middle hundred and low.
:(
You could always try a pawnshop or secondhand store and get one with character for cheap.

There are your answers.
im not going to toys r us…sorry. thanks for you help laina with the guitar stores!
Squier Stratocaster or Telecaster is a really decent guitar for begginers… In acoustic, I would say marrufo, but it doesn’t get to the states.
squier guitars are for beginners. but maybe you should get an acoustic first
**** you
Well, if you are a beginner I would say an acoustic guitar. Guitar is not easy and you will have to practice for that electric guitar Jonas Brothers sound. My friend had started out with an electric and was pretty good.
I feel it is just harder to do with fingering for beginners.
