My dad is cheating on my mom.

Ive known for a while but don’t say anything. Now my mom was crying today because he is leaving to go on a trip and she has a feeling (which shes right) that hes going to sleep with another woman. She knows he is on the phone with these woman all the time because he takes like an hour to drive 15 miles. She basicly told me she knows he is doing these things and doesn’t know what to do. I dont know what to do because i know 100% about everything but don’t want my parents to break up. My dad treats her like crap and my mom is a person who tries to avoid conflict. Before anyone says don’t be a stupid 16 year old Im not. I am married and 24. I do have an extremely big gap between me and my younger brother who is now 12. He is I suspect the reason my mom just doesn’t confront him. I dont know what to do because its killing her and he doesn’t really give a ****. Also he uses me to have these conversations and even take some of these trips but Im getting really sick of it and made no guess work of the fact that I dont approve or like of what hes doing.

You need to tell your mom! Would you want to be with your husband still if he was cheating on you? No one deserves to be treated poorly or to be cheated on. It may be hard for you if they break up, but it will be better for everyone.

Well don’t say it bluntly. But give her hints and let her figure it out. I wouldn’t want to feel like it’s my fault.

get the proves that your father is cheating on your mom.(just in case, if conflicts have to go to a court) or talk to your father first.

I’m sorry but you need to tell her.
Your mom deserves to know the truth, especially if she is already having suspicions. Don’t leave her in the dark. She’s probably already hurting enough as it is, let her know what’s going on so she can figure out what to do. It will put her mind at rest, even when she finds out she’s been betrayed ..because at least she won’t be living a lie anymore.

Trying to avoid not telling her just because you don’t want them to break up is selfish on your part. She’s going to find out one way or another.

That would be kinda awkward I know it hurts but I think your mom can get to the bottom of it. It’s their relationship and I think it may be best not to be apart of it. Trust is a fragile thing to mess with.

You’re a grown man now. Tell your Dad straight “no, I will not be used as a cover for your trips any more. I know you are cheating on Mum. Either you come clean with her and sort this out or I will”.

He’s the one who made this mess… he can clean it up.

I agree with Mum, you need to tell your mom, sorry that my reply is so late. But yea, it would kill her more to find out that he is and that you didnt tell her you know. Plus, if he hurts her so much with this and with normal life, I believe that its a good thing that they split up, no offence, no offspring want their parents to leave eachother, but its hurting her more than helping, and thats what should happen. He uses you to get the calls and trips? Oh heck! Kick his butt, tell her! For a father to do that, he is no man at all and should get whats comming to him for using his child like that, endangering his familys relationship, and ultamitly leading to the downfall and heartache of a kind woman that he should still be loving not cheating on. PLease, for yours and your mothers sake, even your brothers, tell her. She needs to know the truth before sh*t hits the fan, if you know what I mean.

When he gets changed every night after hes been out for a late night mum always takes hes jacket off for him and puts him in hes more comfortable clothes..this time he was like no im fine im fine..but hes never hesitent so this was a shock..after my mum saying come on you cant sleep in that he still didn’t want to take hes jacket off shes like i will just put it in the kitchen once she had it on the couch he was asking where it was again?..Mum then saw lipstick over he’s stomach after getting him undressed tonight..i was on my laptop the whole time..Im upstairs now contemplating telling mum now looking at my cardigan which has the pink lipstick like stain on it that he claimed was texta..i am unsure what to do!! but feel something needs to be said to my mum :( ?..i’ve found before this online dating service made by him saying he was interested in meeting people!!!

the same thing has happened to me. my dad has constantly been cheating on my mum for the past 3 yrs with various women. she knows but still wants to keep the family together for the sake of my younger brother whos 12. i can understand tht, i mean im 22 and ive been really depressed n have cried a lot.i dont want my brother to go thru the same thing. but honestly, from wat my father has done, i kno hes never going to change. i see divorce as the only solution. ofcourse, one has to be smart and perhaps hire a private investigator to get evidence for court.
and for those of u whos mothers are unaware u must let them kno. trust is key in every marriage and once thts broken in my opinion its not a marriage any longer.
