Uhhhh…
I hear something like rice krispies in my ear (or similar to having water in it). I have NOT been swimming or had any water in my ear nor do I feel ill or have been ill recently. Slept on the right side so it would ‘drain’-it’s worse the next day! Ever had?

It might be some muck in your ear/sinuses, sometimes it can trap moisture too. Does it hurt/ache/feel clogged from the bridge of your nose and along your cheekbones just under your eyes? or from your ear down the side of your neck? (If you didn’t get that, try googleimaging sinuses). If it is blocked sinuses I recommend a decongestant tablet or some kind fo decongestant fluid.
To be honest, it’s probably best to go to a doctor or get someone to look in your ears for you, just so you know for sure.
Nope, no pain, not anything in the sinus region or elsewhere. I hear it when I walk around or pull on my earlobe.
It just be an ear infection, go to the doctor and get them to check it out.
Sorry I’ve had this problem for and docs have come up with nothing correct. If you find the cure please let me know!
If you open your mouth really wide and move your jaw around, do you hear a bunch of pops?
I think Laina’s probably right, i seem to remember having popping noises with an ear infection when i was young. If it’s not an infection, you’ve probably got something in there. You’ve got a lot of tiny tubes in your ear that can collect moisture and earwax just from condensation etc. it kind of makes sense if you hear the popping etc when you move.
As a long shot, Have you tried putting anything in your ear lately, like a cotton woolbud?
If you’re not happy with going to a doctor until a last resort, I recommend trying some decongestant ear fluid stuff. It shouldn’t cause any harm it just breaks up any muck in your ear and lets you wash it out. If that doesn’t help then your best option is to go to a doctor, sorry.

I hear/feel slight pops in my jaw but not like TMJ popping.
Hey, Ash-what’s decongestant ear fluid stuff-something to put directly in the ear canal?
No, in your ear. When you move your jaw around, do you hear your ear popping - crackling a bunch?

No, I don’t hear a bunch of crackling in the ear itself really. I’m kind of concerned there’s a bug in there. Those stories are just urban legends right??? And a bug would make sounds all the time-not just while I’m walking or pulling on my lobe eh?
Yeah, mostly. You really should see a doctor. Ears are really important, you don’t want to screw them up.

I love the ad that comes up, Rice Crispy Treat Recipes.
I can’t see it…but so funny!
Oops, Sorry, I meant ear drops :P I don’t know if you get it in america, but “Otex” and stuff is the kind of thing you’d need if it is muck in your tubes. Laina’s right though, a trip to the doctor is best. DON’T go using cotton buds or anything
What you want to get is the small, expensive bottle, not the bog cheap one. It’s usually what the doctor would prescribe and it’ll work best. And if it lasts longer than a week, or it starts hurting, go to the doctor immediately or you could lose hearing permanently.
ANSWER: Doctor says it looks to be one of my own head hairs in my ear making that sound and that it should work itself out!
Just a tiny bit…swished my ear with mineral oil and warm water yesterday…seemed to help about 90%!
Seems to be holding out with little or no sound/pain. Thank you Laina!!!!!
