What should I do?

I have not finished any of the assignments that I have been given in my sewing class. I get to the pattern part and then i stop when i have to cut it out into fabric and sew. My midterm was due Tuesday, but I did not go down to Chicago because of the Obama thing. It was my “excuse”.

I have noticed that here, at home, I can get NO homework done. When I am at school I get more done there than I do here. I was thinking, that since my new boyfriend is working late tomorrow, that I will stay late at school tomorrow and finish all the past work and keep up from now on by staying later on my school days.

So, should I just do no work on my homework tonight, go to my classes tomorrow and then stay late and not come home until my work is done? I am getting nervous about failing though because I am scared of failing and getting kicked out of school again. I was already kicked out last quarter because of how many classes I have failed since the winter quarter of 2007. They let me back this year for this quarter to see if I could “hack it”. If not, then I am done. What should I do?

make sure you have all of the materials you need for working on it at school tomorrow. If you have a sewing machine at home, try to sew at least one seam tonight. It will give you something to work with when you go to school tomorrow.
A good idea for you would be to make a list of all the things you need to do, in order of importance. If there are any tasks that you can accomplish tonight that are easy and quick, get them out of the way. It could even be something like pinning the fabric that you need to sew together tomorrow. That way, you can work more efficiently. Work on the projects that are over due first.

do you think, since it is week 5 of 11, that my teacher will understand that I just figured out this past week that I just have a problem working at home? That there are too many distractions? Should I write her an e-mail explaining it? do you think the e-mail will help at all?

like i think I am having a problem separating school from home. Like when i am home i think “oh, its fun ‘relaxing’ time.” At school its like, “Oh, its serious work, get it done time.”
