Well, I may or may not be writing a book. Haven’t decided yet. It will be a collection of short stories and the like, not a novel.

Hmm. I see where you are coming from, but I think you understand the context of what I mean. It is dark writing, but I guess that is the mood. I will research this.

I think dark or fun sells better than poems.
Also, if they are short, fun is easier.

But surely the motivation is to write what you need to express, I thought that was the writers curse?

You write dark better then funny. Besides, even your funny was a little dark… I never vote for poetry. So, number 3. I think you could be very good with sci-fi and possibly fantasy writing. Don’t be afraid of happy endings. Remember that a happy ending could be the simple fact that the characters are happy to still be alive!
