Wardrobe Refashion ‘06

Have you always wanted to take thrift store finds and re-make them into cool new clothes?

Well, here’s the kick in the refashioned pants you’ve been waiting for. Head on over to Wardrobe Refashion ‘06, and take their pledge:

“I Pledge that I shall refashion, renovate, recycle pre-loved items for myself for the term of my contract. I Pledge that I shall create and craft items of clothing for myself with my own hands in fabric, yarn or other medium for the term of my contract.”

What contract? Well, when you take the pledge, you commit to two, four, or six months of remaking instead of buying your duds. That’s a great way to give yourself focus, and to push yourself into new creative territory.

The Wardrobe Refashion site is loaded with inspiration, too — pictures of what other pledge-takers have made, and lots of links.
