2008 is the Year of the Underdog…

HELP me prove this more! I can think of several reasons but I know I am forgetting some.
Here’s why I’ve come up with for this Underdog theory! Can you think of any?

*First time ever, a beagle won Best in Show at the Westminster Dog Show.
*2008 Super Bowl “Giants” WINS “odds of Giants winning 2008 Super Bowl was 17 to 1″
*Michael Phelps WINS 8 Olympic Gold metals “was once hesitant of putting his face under water and also raised by a single Mom”
Another “obvious” one…
*2008 Presidential election Barack Obama, the first EVER Non-Caucasian man to WIN the US Presidential election, “whom he also was raised by a single Mom”

What a year/2008 it has been and it’s still not over yet. Can you help name some more Underdog Wins this 2008/year?

So sorry to bore you/Yeaghe by the bare mentioning of Obama’s name and although TRUE it’s NOT the ONLY NEWS going on in the world, it’s still extremely exciting and yes it is fairly NEW news coming from America. “Um elections was just two days ago” besides, he was a mention because in my eyes he was an Underdog. Don’t you see, by him winning, it shows to the WORLD that America is NOT just FULL of a bunch of bias, pompous, a$$holes as once thought of by SO many, “even still”.
Not meant to get off track…

Underdog WINS seems common this 2008…
Can you think of other examples?
