How to get rid of razor bumps(on face)?

I have read to let your hair grow out but that does not seem to work because as I let my facial hair grow out it gets worse(i think).

I’ve bought different things but they seem to work only for a short time….

Any advice anyone?

Mmmm try taking a vitamin E supplement everyday. Your skin seems sensitive so Vitamin E may help even it out a little so the razor burn is not as bad.

For immediate relief, try wrapping a warm, wet towel on the area you intend to shave for about 2-3 minutes right before you shave. This helps soften the hair follicles to make shaving less abrasive on the skin.

I dry shave and then use a mixture of 50% cologne and 50% rubbing alcohol, burns a little but no razor bumps. Hope this helps :-)

I think EmilyRI has some great suggestions about shaving. Vitamin E and zinc are great for healing.

I would also see a dermatologist or doctor who specializes in skin. It sounds a bit like foliculitis - a friend of mine always likes to recommend hibiclens http://www.hibigeebies.com/ which she says is quite effective when it comes to skin infections or irritated skin. Ask you doc about this. It can also be bought over the counter at pharmacies.
