lol x well its nothing important, okay, well in america like. Do you think that english people have ‘posh’ accents, because on all american programmes, you see if they are taking the ‘mick’ out of english people they put on a dead strange accent, and im (english) like, what, we dont speek like that, yeah, maybe the posh queen does lol, but yeah, just a question, thanks if you answer it, its random but thanks xx

It’s what they call a ‘non-accent’. Not all of us have it, but it tends to be from the midwest. In the south, they have an accent even we notice, as do New Yorkers, New Englanders, and people from Boston. What that accent is, is people in the news and on TV trying to sound as non-regional as possible.

hmm well i watch BBC America more then most channels so i dont really have a problem with the “posh” accent. lol i’ve found myself using a lot of “british” phrases.

lol stuff that no one in america knows of. like feck, ****, canteen (instead of cafeteria), and many other things that i cant think of that i’ve heard from shows like Father Ted, Coupling, Eddie Izzard, and My Hero.
