Wow, you can really do that?!
I’ll never complain about the pain of child birth again….lol
giving birth to boys is easier?? hm… never heard that..
CONGRATS LAZYDAZE!! =D
Imagine someone very tough, will the highest possible tolerance to pain screaming and crying their head off because it hurts so bad… I think i’m a tough cookie for the most part and, having not had any children, cannot imagine something painful enough to make me literally scream from the agony, and yet I know it exists… *shudder*

Scary thought, I know.
someone told me its like pushing a pumpkin out of your vag that has thousands of needles sticking out of it with red hot tips dragging through your skin and trying to stretch something that should be stretched slowly way too fast.
graphic huh.
Well you could go an easier way and have a c section, it’s easier to heal and all you have to deal with is the labor.
I watched my friend vaginally give birth the other day and I am truly traumatized, I will never deliver vaginally. After her long, torturous labor that consisted of nurses pushing her belly in trying to get the baby out, she finally pushes out her head. Then, the baby’s sholders got stuck coming out and after about 5 minutes of attempting to pull her out by her neck as blood is gushing out around her neck, they ended up ripping her, but that wasn’t enough room for the baby and they had to help her by cutting her open and pulling the baby out. Let me tell ya, it’s wasnt the prettiest situation first thing in the morning.

i was eating when i read that :| yuck. . .
a Csection is most definitely not the easy way to go.
that is MAJOR surgery, where they cut through your stomach into your womb, opening you up to the possibility of infection or damage to the baby due to sedation.
for 4-6 weeks after the birth it is painful or impossible to even pick up your baby, and the drugs from sedation in your system can leach into your milk.
hells no is it the best way.
i know plenty of women whove had csections, and plenty whove had epidurals etc…and the ones who recover the fastest are the ones who have no drugs at all, maybe a bit of gas. theyre usually up and about within hours of birth if everything goes well.
well i haven’t had a baby (thank god-18 is way too young) but i watched my little sisters (twins) being born and my mother elected to do natural childbirth. she went to all these classes where they teach you exercises and things to make the birth easier but when it came right down to it the birth was 14 hours of screaming. and blood. and sweat.
she described the early labor as being like the worst pre-menstrual cramps ever magnified by five hundred, coupled with extreme pressure, and while she said that the exercises did help a lot in preparing her for the birth, from what i saw i am all for the eppideral.
or, you know, adoption.

I AM a woman who had a c-section…. on July 25th, 2008. It’s a thin cut about 1 foot long that’s bright pink. I couldn’t stand for 3 days afterward. I was back to work, running, jumping, etc. within two weeks. I was in labor for about 4 hours. Mine was emergency, but with most you can plan a specific date down to the time months before you are due. Also, most women aren’t required to be sedated before their c-sec, but since the doctors were unsure of the outcome, they went ahead and knocked me out. Most women get hold their babies for a split second as soon as it is delivered unless there are complications. There is no reason not to hold your baby after a c-section unless your baby has to go to the NICU. Your arms and upper body can function perfectly fine, it’s just hard to move or stretch your stomach. There are risks, but there are also plenty of risks vaginally delivering a baby. It was the easy way to go for me.
well ive nannyed plenty of kids who were delivered by c section, the entire reason i was there nannying is because the mother wasnt supposed to lift the child for 4-6 weeks, the reason being bending over to lift the baby could cause stitches to rupture.
people have been vaginally delivering for thousands of years….ive seen both in person and major surgery sure as **** doesnt look easy compared.
but i know its different for everyone, maybe they just have different rules here or summin.
