Can she talk to you?

Or is she still fitting?

Ok.

Keep a phone near to you. If mum has another fit, call an ambulance.

She should be coming around, though she will be confused.

Does your mum suffer from epilepsy?

Ok. I would like you to be brave and call an ambulance.

Tell them exactly what has happened.

Are you in UK? Call 999.

In US? 911

If you are somewhere else and don’t know who to call, let me know

Keep mum calm and sit her somewhere where, if she fits again, she will not hurt herself .. so away from hard furniture and glass objects.

Do not worry. The ambulance people will tell you exactly what to do and mum will be fine. They will want to check her over and find out why she had a fit.

It could be that she has suffered an allergic reaction to a bite. She will need treatment for that.

Do not worry.
No-one will mind you calling the ambulance people.

You’re welcome. I will stay here until the ambulance people arrive.
