I want to be a software engineer…

I want to be a software engineer, but I’m worried about outsourcing. TO be a software engineer, you need to be a programmer for around 3 years first. It is hard to get programming jobs now. Should i still be a software enigneer?

It depends on where you’re located or planning on working. The economic situation at the moment, pretty much everywhere, is bleak that’s for sure. However, outsourcing is not a threat to a ‘good’ software engineer as there are also many downsides to outsourcing.

I was a software engineer for three years and didn’t find any difficulty in getting work.

To be honest though, it just comes down to this. “If you want to be, be”. So, you just got to do what you want to do in this life, and see what happens.
