friends help: how do you tell someone that you like them more than a friend - Help.com

how do you tell someone that you like them more than

a friend if you are not sure if they like you more than a friend and you don’t want to ruin your friendship by making them feel awkward around you when they know that you like them more than just a friend?????

(sorry if that was confusing but i’m confused)

Hey!
it aint confusing…
All of us land up in that situation… Its like you can picture yourself with that pesrson by your side, but you aint sure if its the right match and you still would like them in your life always, hopefully as someone important but atleast as a friend…
The simplest thing is to say how glad you are to be their friend or Im so glad to know you or you always put a smile on my face… The see their reaction…

Just be honest and frank and non threatening. Or, if having a conversation about it would be really weird for you try dropping a few hints. A light touch, a special little “I’m thinking of you” type gift. I like R.A.M. s advice too; just say “I really like you” and see how they respond. You may be surprised :)

ive been in that situation.
and my friend liked me back..buttt he had a girlfriend. lol.
didnt wanna ruin the relationship so i kind of backed off. we’re best friends though so yeah.
i just kinda dropped alot of hints that i liked him and eventually i told him straight up that i liked him. he was surprised at first but then admitted he liked me too.
just tell him.

same thing happened to me with my best friend. he asked me why i was actin dif lately. and i told him. and he said oh. and it was awkward. but then he liked me.

so it should work out.

Just tell the person face to face but don’t text them or call them it’s the best just to tell them face to face don’t get a friend to do it its nicer to tell someone how you feel….. :)
