Love help: he is depressed and he doesnt want any help… he is my bf - Help.com

i guess give him time he must of done something horrible to be acting like this… dont try to aggitate him it hurts not knowing whats going on in your relationship but maybe he just needs some space to clear his thoughts

I used to be that cold unfeeling depressed person. As a matter of fact, I still am most of the time.

Don’t worry about it. He just can’t stand himself. He’s probably sad and depressed. I’m also fairly sure that he does care about you, he just can’t express himself. He’s sad about something else in his life that damaged him. I don’t know how to describe this… So I’ll try a poem :p:

THE LIVING DEAD

The face keeps smiling but the heart is cold,
The mouth keeps laughing but the soul has been sold.
The tongue keeps talking about all nice things he can get,
But inside he simply does not care, inside he is already dead.
He pretends to be warm and nice,
But in reality that’s just a façade, just some lies.
He pretends like people around him are his friends, people of his own flesh and bone,
It’s a lie, because he is dead inside, his heart is cold like stone,
Rejecting hospitality, always alone.

In the past, his being has been severely wounded,
People made scars that cannot be seen, but which also cannot heal,
Its not like he is arrogant, he just does not know how to feel..
His heart is just a dead weight almost falling out of his chest,
He feels cold, depressed at best.
Life is a burden, he does not care whether he is alive or dead,
Does not pay any attention to the things his so called friends have said,
When he is in danger, he simply doesn’t care whether he will fight or hide,
Reckless in life, he is simply dead inside.

Faking feelings when it is needed,
Speaking poisonous words to make sure the mistrust gets seeded.
This person isn’t bad,
He just does not care, he is a living dead,
Not passionated about the harm he causes, not guilty about sending people to an eternal rest,
He is just a spectator, as in life he just lost interest.

He has made walls around his soul,
Blockades to fortify his mind,
Fortresses to protect his heart,
To make sure nobody will ever be able to hit him again that hard.
Every sign of feeling, whether it to be hate or love, he kills the spark on sight,
Because he does not want to feel the fright,
Of people that can hurt him again and again and again..

And because of that his heart is cold like stone,
Deep inside the ruined city of his soul stands a frozen throne,
And there his mind resides, crying bitter tears, experiencing a pain so deep,
It caused his heart to fall into an ageless sleep..
He shields himself from everyone, considering everybody to be a threat,
Not realising that he ended his own life that way, that inside he is already dead.

he says he is dead inside…. i just dont know what to do… i dont think he wants to change… he has no answer for me…. does he want me with him or not… he just doesnt say… ur poem yassen its like it written abt him too… its so sad… i know he is that bad and i donno what to do… and i love him…. i dont how to react

You can’t help. They say time heals all wounds - for me it’s been years. All you can do is understand and tell him it will pass and that he should let go of the things that happened to him. He can’t change the past. He can only live for the future.

Maybe he’s just not sure if you actually mean it. Maybe he thinks you’re making fun of him. Some people are really sensitive to these things and don’t believe that anyone could ever love them.

It’s hard to accept, but some people just can’t accept love.

I can’t tell you if he likes you, but if he did he probably hides it from you. He doesn’t want to experience it again (whatever “it” was…).

I’m in the same boat.

I’m in a relationship with someone and she loves me or at least is pretending. I feel like the guy in the poem. I’m very successful in life but deep inside depress. I dont believe that anyone can love me. I see people like they’re going after something.

My advice to you will be try to get close to him but not like a girl friend more like a friend, don’t get into love subjects just try to be his friend again. He probably loves you so much that he is trying to push you away from him, so you won’t suffer.
